Job Shadow Day Gives Sharyland High School Health Science Students a Look into their Futures

Observation experience is essential for students pursuing a health science career.  Students from Sharyland High School participated in a Job Shadowing opportunity at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance.

Job shadowing is a useful way to learn about a particular job of interest. Students had the opportunity to shadow a Health Science Professional at the Hospital in the fields of Surgery, Pediatrics, Labor & Delivery, and Oncology among other departments. By observing a day in the life of the professional, students shadowing learned what that job is really like. This opportunity is a great way to learn whether or not a job of interest is right for you and it also helps students decide if their skills match the career field of interest.
