Sam Houston State University grants Wenndy Pray, B. L. Gray Junior High librarian, two more scholarships: one from the Graduate Studies office and the other from the Library Science Department.  Mrs. Pray is at the top of her class with a 4.0 GPA, has demonstrated leadership skills by providing support and guidance in multiple areas to fellow graduate students, and has her sights set on learning more about the field by attending the Texas Library Association Annual Conference for the first time.  Additionally, she has applied for a Texas Association of School Librarians Scholarship.

Mrs. Pray aspires to become a leader in the field of Library Science. "I am truly blessed," says Mrs. Pray, "and feel proud to belong to a profession that is rapidly evolving."  Mrs. Pray has had the opportunity to implement practices learned at SHSU to improve her school library in many different ways.  "I am also honored to be surrounded with great professionals who have made a powerful impression on me."
