Julio Cerda

Mr. Julio Cerda is a parent of three and married to Cuquis Cerda. His daughter Marcela is a 6th grade student and Ana Paola is a 5th grade student at John H. Shary Elementary and his son Julio Alberto is a kinder-garden student at Smart Kids. Mr. Cerda and his family are members of the San Cristobal de Magallanes Catholic Church.

Mr. Cerda was recently appointed by Texas Governor Rick Perry to the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners and holds a public position (term will expire in 2019). Mr. Cerda is also a member of the Mission Chamber of Commerce.

He is a Professional Engineer and the President and CEO of South Texas Infrastructure Group, LLC. and R.O.W. Surveying Services, LLC. Mr. Cerda attended Texas A&M University in Kingsville and holds a degree in Civil Engineering. He is also the former City Manager and City Engineer of Mission, Texas.

He is a member of American Society of Civil Engineers, American Public Works Association, and San Cristobal de Magallanes Catholic Church. He is a former member of Elected Member of the Texas Coalition of Affordable Power, Former Vice-Chair of Lower Rio Grande Development Council/Housing Advisory Committee, National Association of Latino Elected Officials (NALEO), Ex-Oficio member of the Mission Economic Development Corporation, Hidalgo County Metropolitan Planning Organization. Mr. Cerda was 2010 Man of the year by the Progress Time on Behalf of the Citizens of Mission; 2010 Appointment by Texas Governor Rick Perry to the Texas One Call Board; and 2013 Re-Appointed by Texas Governor Rick Perry to the Texas One Call Board.
