Mr. Julio Cerda is married to Cuquis Cerda and are parents of three beautiful children. His daughter’s Marcela a 10th grade student at Juan Diego Academy and Ana Paola a 9th grade student at Sharyland High School and his son Julio Alberto is a 4th grader at John H. Shary Elementary. Mr. Cerda and his family are members of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church.

Mr. Cerda was recently reappointed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott to the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners as Chairman of the Board(term will expire in 2019). Mr. Cerda is a member of the City of Mission Planning and Zoning Commission and also a member of the Mission Chamber of Commerce.

He is a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Texas and the President and CEO of South Texas Infrastructure Group, LLC. and R.O.W. Surveying Services, LLC since 2013. Mr. Cerda attended Texas A&M University in Kingsville (Texas A&I) and holds a degree in Civil Engineering (1998). He is also the former City Manager and City Engineer of Mission, Texas 2003 to 2013.

He is a member of American Society of Civil Engineers and American Public Works Association. He is a former member of Elected Member of the Texas Coalition of Affordable Power, Former Vice-Chair of Lower Rio Grande Development Council/Housing Advisory Committee, former member of the Mission Economic Development Corporation, Hidalgo County Metropolitan Planning Organization. Mr. Cerda was 2010 Man of the year by the Progress Time on Behalf of the Citizens of Mission; 2010 Appointment by Texas Governor Rick Perry to the Texas One Call Board; 2013 Re-Appointed by Texas Governor Perry to the Texas One Call Board and transferred appointment to the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners public member.
