SSES+ Medically Fragile Program Student Eligibility Criteria

The SSES+ Medically Fragile program will be ending on December 6, 2024. However, since the application closes on March 15, 2024, this will be the last time families can apply and take advantage of the SSES+ Medically Fragile program.  Families that currently have SSES+ Medically Fragile accounts, or apply before March 15, 2024, will have until December 6, 2024 to spend these funds. Students who would have qualified for the SSES+ Medically Fragile program will still be eligible for SSES if they have not previously received an account.

Students who receive special education services, who are currently enrolled in a Texas public school, AND are identified as "medically fragile" now qualify for the new SSES+ grant from TEA. There are a limited number of students who qualify for the SSES+ Medically Fragile Program, students must have a PEIMS coding of "medically fragile" to be eligible. Visit the SSES+ Medically Fragile page for additional information about the SSES+ Medically Fragile program.
